When I install a program which is a MSI file, I receive the
error message "This installation package is not supported
on this platform. Contact your application vendor." (or
in German "Dieses Installationspaket wird auf dieser
Plattform nicht unterstützt. Setzen Sie sich mit dem
Hersteller dieses Produkts in Verbindung.").
Probably you downloaded a 64-bit program and tried to install it
on a PC with a 32-bit operating system.
For 64-bit programs, you need a PC with a 64-bit processor and a
64-bit operating system.
The 64-bit programs on my site run under the 64-bit edition of
Windows Vista.
In order to check whether you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of
Windows Vista installed, do the following steps:
On English systems:
- Click on Start, Preferences (if you use the classic
start menu), Control Panel
- If you use the classic view of the control panel, click on
System, otherwise on System and Maintenance and then on
System.
- Besides the label System Type, it is written whether you have the 32-bit
or 64-bit version installed
Pocket PC/Smartphone software
I have device XYZ. Does your program run under it?

Smartphone edition of the Windows Mobile operating system.
Software for Pocket PC/Pocket PC with Phone Edition does not run under Smartphone and
vice versa.
Devices with Pocket PC edition have a touchscreen, while
devices with Smartphone edition do not have a touchscreen.
My Pocket PC/Smartphone reports that the installation file is
corrupt / My Pocket PC displays the error message "XYZ is not
a valid Pocket PC application".

it from there.
The .EXE files on my website are installation programs which run
on the desktop PC and copy the files to the Pocket PC/Smartphone
automatically.
Please make sure that your device is connected to the PC prior
running the installation program.
