All Unicode versions of Bavebter Yid by Sholem Berger are available at bav.tar; in this archive, html files in UTF-8 files are contained which can be loaded in the Yiddish Reader by menu File, menu item Open Yiddish Unicode/UTF-8 html file....

After downloading, create an empty directory, copy the downloaded file
yiddishreader.tar.gz
into it and extract it with
tar xvfz yiddishreader.tar.gz
For using instructions, please read the README file.
The program requires a TrueType font with Unicode Hebrew characters (is not
supplied) - the font and its size can be chosen individually.
The program is designed for a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels which is the
default and which is available at many PDAs.
In the Yiddish Reader for Linux, the downloaded Yiddish text has to be loaded by menu File, menu item Open Yiddish Unicode/UTF-8 html file... or Open Yiddish Unicode/UTF-8 Text file...
